About Elisabet Bondesson
I have an interest in finding out about the deeper insights in life. I believe that there are other Worlds, which we connect with our souls. I follow the physical experiments on CERN Geneva, to see if they can find what they call “the Gods particle”, if they find it, it can lead us to other dimensions, not yet discovered. Throw my art I try to connect with those other worlds.
That gives me a deep satisfaction, far beyond earning money, selling art or exhibit, even though that still happens.
I grew up in a small town, Sundsvall, in the north of Sweden, in an art loving family. I visited local artist´s studios and art exhibitions already as a child. A mayor experience happened when I was 14 years old and saw an exhibition in Stockholm of Paul Gauguin. I fell in love with his colors.
Art was my favorite subject in school and I was recognized by my art teachers as talented. Strangely enough, my choice of college education was not art, I became a school teacher. Of course that was soon too boring. As I was speaking five languages I could become an airhostess at SAS in Copenhagen Denmark. That gave me the opportunity to see famous art all over Europe. Van Gogh was my real favorite and also Edvard Munch, who´s hometown Oslo we regularly visited.
After having married a medical doctor in Sweden, I gave up my carrier and moved with him to the Swedish West coast. As a God sent gift, that town had an art school and I had a three year art education, in painting, drawing and different graphical techniques. Then I started out as an artist and since then art has been my mayor occupation. I have worked in all kind of styles, finding my way to a more and more abstract art, mixed with now and then some funny birds and cats. The last years my biggest efforts have been to learn how to express myself in digital art.
I have a studio in a wonderful small village Vittsjö in Skåne south part of Sweden. Vittsjö is surrounded by lakes and beautiful nature. In earlier days before charter tourism abroad became popular, it was a tourist paradise for Swede´s.
With friends and family my art has gone all over the world, but mostly I am represented in Sweden.
